I purchased a 42" Plasma TV from Sears and baught the service warrenty (extended) and now there is a problem with the TV when i took it out of the box. I went to return it for a new one and they wanna service it with the extended warrenty and i should just receive a new one under the 30 day return policy. i AM SO MAD AND DONT KN OW WHO TO CONTACT THE MANAGER OF THE STORE WONT EVEN HELP ME. I will never shop there again and will tell others the same.
My complaint is regarding both Sears and their credit card bank holder, Citi bank. I had set up automatic monthly withdraws to pay off my credit card bill by calling a customer service rep at Sears. A year & month after doing so I get a call from collections department because my bill is 30 days past due. How could that be I was signed up for auto payments? Oh, they failed to disclose it only last for 1 year then you must redo it again on website. Thanks for messing up my credit score with your undisclosed service arrangement. Seems odd, you'd think in this economy they'd want their debtors to pay, especially those of us so willing to do so we had over all our secure banking information. I'll keep card open to help my credit score but will not do business with Sears again nor apply for a Citi bank credit card. I remember when Sears was a trustworthy store that my dad bought all his tools at for a decent price. Guess they forgot there's so many other places to shop now we don't need to go to stores that cost us points on our credit score by not disclosing information. Yes, they admitted it was not disclosed that auto pay only lasted for 12 months!
