Timeshare Fraud
We are using this forum to express our regretful experience with La Jolla Boutique Resorts at Mazatlan.
We purchased a timeshare membership from them on December 23, 2009. We went on the 26th to cancel in person and gave them the rescission letter according to the 5 day recession period allowed by Mexican law. The salespeople did not accept the letter, but said verbally that they would refund the money within 15 days. After insisting so much, new clients (victims) started to notice what we where trying to do there; one of the salespeople did sign the letter; but we never felt real support and decided to file our complaint with PROFECO. This has also turned into a very frustrating experience. There is a lack of communication and follow up, the La Jolla representative did not even show up to the first hearing and now we are going for the second one; but we donot give it much hope! There is only one person I found on the web that was able to recover her money from La Jolla. This single person posted at least 100 internet complaints against them and finally after couple of years she got the money refunded. We must get together and post complaints at the same time without stopping until we can force them to refund our money. It shouldnt take us that long if we all do this at the same time. If you would like to contact me, please write to lajollamazatlanfraud@hotmail.com These thieves are not afraid of law. Nothing will force them to listen to us except if they start losing potential clients. |
