Automatic merchant charges
Respected sir/madam,
A number of years ago I set up an automatic debit to my credit card account 5291492427848193 for on-line services to WSJ / Barrons. The monthly charge was $11.99. Earlier this year I canceled the service and WSJ confirmed that they cancelled the automatic debit. The description for the monthly debit was LIBREDIGITALAUSTINTX (note that it changed to this in December but previously it had a reference of Barrons). After a couple of phone calls, Capital One reversed all of the charges since I canceled the service on January 26 but they refused to provide me with any information on the merchant LIBREDIGITAL. I think that they should take some action against this merchant for erroneously charging my account. I am suspect at their lack of concern and inaction in this matter.
