Respected sir/madam,
A couple of months ago I accepted a free sample of Extreme Acai Berry and a trial-size sample of Total Cleanse for about a $5.95 charge. I had found an advertisement on a Facebook page and just clicked on it. When I signed up for these products there was no mention of further being sent these products or any other additional charges each month. The thing I am mad at myself about is that I didn't check my credit card statements for a couple of months (stupid!) When I finally did get around to checking the statements I was shocked. To start with there was another charge on the first statement for $78.84 listed for Total Cleanse. To continue, on the two months' statements, there were charges under the following product names or company names: FastMelt, Body Cleansing Online, Master Cleanse, Easy Rapid Cleanse, IP Daily Web Vitamins, Search Vitamins, T Cleanse... all with very similar charges. There were also other charges that didn't sound familiar to me: Price Limbo, Price Savers, CRH Price Savers, Fit-Fac (which is short for Fit Factory), and www.selfhelp.com. I found out that these last two are companion products/companies that Extreme Acai Berry pushes. When you sign up for the Acai Berry, you are also signing up for these other products even though NOTHING ever indicates that on the web sign-up page or information. I called the first phone number I saw for the Fast Melt. I was told that when I signed up for the trials of Extreme Acai Berry and the sample of Total Cleanse, I had also unknowingly agreed to continue receiving the products at additional cost. When I tried to challenge this, I was repeatedly told that there was nothing they could do because they were only a 3rd party call center for Extreme Acai Berry. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that there was no manager I could speak to...not that there wasn't one available, but that there were no managers or supervisors or anyone else I could speak with. I was also refused any information on the company or their product so that I could contact them directly! I continued to go down the list of my credit card charges, calling each number (and every one of them was different). Every time I finally spoke to someone, I was told my account was already cancelled for the Extreme Acai Berry. When I tried to get info from them about other products/companies on my credit card statements, I was repeatedly told they could not do that because they were only the call center. Each phone number had the same hold music and suspiciously similar voices answering the phones.
Please be smarter than I was and do not get suckered into this company's SCAM!!! |
