Complaint: Using the E470 toll system is a nightmare. The lack of a proper billing system for license plate toll users is fraudulent. I have yet to be able to speak with a customer service person as I am continually disconnected. I have had my current address registered with my vehicle since March 2010. I used the toll road for business, therefore needing the individual invoices for expense reports. After using the toll system for several months I emailed asking for an invoice. The reply was no invoices had been issued. The first invoice I received was in Aug 2012 and I paid that the day received. I have just received a notice that I was delinquent in payment, had missed a hearing to the case and was referred to collections. This added up to over an additional $100 in fees. I have NEVER received invoices, notice of a hearing or anything to that effect. I was sent the collections notice by Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson. In speaking with the collection agency, the notice they sent me didn’t even contain the notice of all the toll charges. I was also told that not receiving the invoices was no excuse for not paying them. I called to request a hearing to contest the charges and can find no direct prompt to that department. There is no way on the E 470 phone system to speak to a person directly. All attempts have ending in being automatically disconnected. I have no problem paying the tolls but I refuse to pay any additional charges.
