Complaint: I received an automated call offering solutions to people needing help with morgage modifications, forclosures, lates on your morgage, etc. I called, explained my specific situation, and was told to fax income verification and they would determine if I qualified for the HAMP Program. I did as asked and was called back in two days and told I qualified and would receive the documents to sign and return with one month morgage payment and my morgage would decrease by $600 and the interease will drop from 4% to 3.125% and the terms would be extended to 40 years. I called my servicer and found out it was all fraudlent. The approval for a loan modification takes at least 2 months! Not two days!!! They have not approved any of what I was told and had I sent my morgage payment to them, I still would have been responsible for making my morgage payment to my loan servicer. I undertand now why I was told not to call my serviicer and to make my morgage payments to Trial Payment Processing, Laguna Hills. I researched the address and found that the physical address is to a divorce mediation center. I am so happy that I did not follow through. I would have lost my house had I not done my homework. It was one of those, “Too good to be true!!!”””
