My Pentair 60 sq.ft. FNC filter canister was cracked and I found this person on Craig’s List advertising pool equipment for substantially less than was available in retail stores. Although his texts say “TJ” he goes by Craig Ashmore. After several delays he showed up and installed what ended up being a “remanufactured” filter. No where in the Craig’s List ad or on the website does it say anything about “remanufactured” equipment. I figured for the price ($400 +installation) if it worked for a couple years I was ok. | After it was installed I wrote him a check and off he went (in his rental truck). My pool guy came the next day and told me there was something wrong because what he was vacuuming up was going right back into the pool. I began calling and texting “TJ” and receiving no response for 3 days I stopped payment on the check, which had not been cashed. A few days later I got a text from TJ saying he was out of town and had bad cell reception. He agreed to come over and replace the filter. | Several days later he showed up, in the same rental truck, and took the filter apart and replaced the grids. Once again my pool guy showed up the next day and same issue. This time he showed me the water from the filter going back into my spa and it was all green. | Again I called TJ and texted him but no response. I stopped payment on the check again and opened up the filter to find old grids with holes in them so everything that was being put into the filter was coming right back out. | DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are scam artists who put used equipment in and call it “remanufactured”, it’s not, it’s just USED EQUIPMENT.
