Complaint: We hired Troost Brothers to install a new roof on our home and had an absolutely horrible experience with them. We own an older home and the job entailed the complete removal of the old roof and an installation of a new one. We had problems right from the very beginning of the project. We were very specific about the materials that we expected to be installed on our home and had them specified in the contract. The new materials were delivered to our home after the subcontractor had already torn off a significant portion of the roof. I pointed out to the subcontractor that some of the materials that were delivered were different than were agreed in the contract. The subcontractor said that Troost Brothers was responsible for ordering materials and that they often ordered the same materials regardless of what the contract stated. They also said that the materials “were all the same.”” I contacted Troost Brothers
