Complaint: I was given a quote of $900 by laura(USA Relocation staff)for 2000 pound of my householed stuff to move from Goleta to San Jose, on the day of movement they said they dont have scale nearby and I have to travel 70 miles to go to scale and then come back as I need to handover the key of my house to Landlord and do some cleaning stuff. They should have informed me of scale before hand or should be carrying a portable scale. I didn’t expected to waste travelling 140 miles on the day of my movement as I was having other stuff to wind up in city before leaving the city. Jose, the relocation labourer saw my items and said they are much heavier and it would be more than 3000 pound, he made me nervous by quoting such a high weight, wherein he is in this business for years and knew exactly what stuff would weight. They cheater knew how to play mind games. I had roughly the following items 12 boxes * 50pound each = 600 poundsofa: 300 pound Table + chair 300 pound small TV Stand 100 pound Other stuff 450 Pound That comes to total of 1750 pound, I was nervous that its exceeding too far my guess, so I agreed to $1600, a $700 raise from original quote of $900.I gave then $130 as tip too, not knowing they are cheating me of so much. On the day of getting back my stuff they were suppose to deliver at 8AM in the morning but they kept me waiting whole day and then delivered the stuff at 7PM in evening fianlly, I couldn’t open and arrange the stuff as it was night and dont want to disturb my neighbour, so they just kept the boxes and stuff and left. So once I open the box next day I can see a 100% broken TV, samsung LED/LCD TV 32inch. Despite packing in Original box of samsung they have broken it, dont know what they did to break it that way. So once I asked insurance people of USA relocation to replace my TV so they are offering me $63(The original price os TV being $330), so I asked them to send me the weight of scale. They forwarded me a copy which says my total weight of household stuff is 1750 Pound but they charged a flat rate after frightening me to $1600 and on top of that they lied in bill by mentioning $700 as packaging material, wherein I have got all the boxes myself, packed eveything, they just packed 2 lamps for $40 and quoted $700 as packaging material to hide the extra charges they took from us after threatning us. I purchased the boxes from Home Depot and I have the receipt of those boxes yet. When I want to complaint to their manager they either dont pick my phone or say Manager is not there and they took the message several times but I can never get hold of Manager, David and neither the Manager called me. Now they start avoiding my call and put me on hold and after several minutes say Manager is not there or call after 2 hours and stuff like that. I want someone to sue these guys and make them out of business they seems to be like a serial cheater. Oh God stop these scamsters somehow to rip other people. My mistake not to read the review before hiring them for this Job.
